The game opens with a scene in which the player’s character, a friendly rat, is pinned down to a table as a human character makes an incision with a scalpel from which the rat's internal organs emerge. There is sight of blood. During the game, the player character is confronted by other rats. When defeated, they explode leaving multi-coloured liquid on the ground. The rats are cartoonish in appearance and the violence is non-realistic. When the player character fails, for example by colliding with an enemy or missing a jump, a heart dripping with blood appears to indicate failure.
